Michaelsen Leads CSC at Gent-Wevelgem 07.04 08:32
Some of the big names in last weekends Tour of Flanders have decided not to participate in Gent-Wevelgem in order to prepare themselves for the upcoming World Cup race Paris-Roubaix.
Team CSC's Lars Michaelsen won the race back in 1995, and he's also the team leader on Wednesday, as Frank H�j uses Gent-Wevelgem as training and preparation for Paris-Roubaix.
Main contenders are last year's winner Andreas Klier of T-Mobile, Quick Step's Tom Boonen and Johan Museeuw, Leon van Bon of Lotto-Domo, Domina Vacanze's sprinter Andris Naudusz, former World Champion Romans Vainsteins of Lampe, former two-times World Champion Oscar Freire of Rabobank, US Postal duo George Hincapie and Max van Heeswijk and of course super sprinters Baden Cooke (fdjeux.com) and Jaan Kirsipuu (ag2r).
