Gusev Replaces Piil at Laigueglia

Jakob Piil will be replaced by Vladimir Gusev in Tuesday's Trofeo Laigueglia, the first race after this weekend's magnificent Team CSC podium sweep at Tour M�diterran�en.
Piil is still on penicillin after suffering from a sore throat, which also kept him out of Tour Med.
Michele Bartoli will be team captain at the 41. edition of the Trofeo Laigueglia, which marks the first Italian race of the season for Team CSC.
All the other CSC riders has gathered in Lucca, where this year's second training camp has just started.
Apart from Bartoli the main contenders at Trofeo Laigueglia are last years winner Filippo Pozzato and Frank Vandenbroucke (Fassa Bortolo), Paolo Bettini and Luca Paolini (Quick Step), Mirko Celestino (Saeco), Yaroslav Popovych (Landbouwkrediet), Davide Rebellin (Gerolsteiner), Stefano Garzelli (Vini Caldirola), Bo Hamburger (Acqua e Sapone) and Michele Scarponi (Domina Vacanze).
The 183 kilometer race features two main climbs; Passo del Ginestro (677m) and Passo Balestrino (690m).
